2026.10.0607:00:00UTC+00Spain’s Industrial Output Growth Cools to 1.5% in August, Easing From July’s 2.5%

Spain’s industrial production growth slowed in August 2026, with output rising 1.5% year-over-year, down from a 2.5% annual increase recorded in July 2026.

According to the latest data updated on 06 October 2026, the August figure reflects a moderation in the pace of expansion when compared to the same month a year earlier, continuing to use a year-over-year basis. The previous reading for July measured the change in industrial production versus July of the prior year, while the latest August result compares output in August 2026 with August 2025.

The easing from 2.5% to 1.5% suggests that while Spain’s industrial sector is still expanding, momentum has softened as the summer progressed, potentially signaling a more cautious backdrop for industrial activity heading into the latter part of the year.
