The sectors of metals, financial services, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals experienced gains, which balanced out the declines observed in the technology and automotive sectors. Similarly, the Nifty index showed minimal movement, hovering near 26,177, while small-cap stocks experienced a 0.4% rise, with mid-caps remaining almost flat. Investors are anticipating the release of the Q3 US GDP data and the PCE index for insights into the US economic forecast. Nonetheless, the market sentiment was buoyed by an encouraging session on Wall Street, driven by a surge in tech stocks due to renewed optimism regarding AI-related shares. In terms of individual stock movements, Power Grid edged up by 0.8%, UltraTech Cement by 0.7%, and Bajaj Finserv saw a 0.5% increase. Conversely, Infosys and Bharti Airtel witnessed declines, falling 1.8% and 1.0%, respectively.
