Croatia’s annual inflation rate accelerated to 4.8% in March 2026, up from 3.8% in February, according to preliminary estimates. This is the highest rate recorded since November 2023. The increase was driven primarily by an 11.3% rise in energy prices, a 7.8% increase in services, and a 3.9% rise in prices of food, beverages, and tobacco, while prices of non-energy industrial goods declined by 0.6%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices are estimated to have increased by 1.4%, compared with 0.3% in the previous month, largely reflecting a 5.0% jump in energy prices.
